Caitlin Yost started working in the restaurant industry when she was 14 years old, scrubbing dishes and floors in a fine pastry shop. She worked in restaurants all through college until graduating from Michigan State University with a Bachelor of Science in Environmental Economics & Policy. Driven by her love of travel, she spent several years overseas in Australia and New Zealand working at Relais & Chateaux properties and other highly-acclaimed resorts, including Appellation at The Louise in Barossa Valley, Australia; Emirates One & Only Wolgan Valley Resort & Spa in Wolgan Valley, Australia; Matakauri Lodge in Queenstown, New Zealand and TOPPER’S at The Wauwinet on Nantucket Island, MA, where she was Maitre d’Hotel. She is now Maitre d’Hotel at The Little Nell in Aspen, CO. Caitlin credits her working holiday in Australia for allowing her to experience another culture in some of the most beautiful places in the world in a more in depth and meaningful way than traditional travel.
